Lead R/W Trash Equipment Operator I
This is a full-time position with benefits. This position supervises the daily trash pick-up and dead animal removal in unincorporated Fayette County.
Major duties include but are not limited to:
1. Supervises and participates in the trash and dead animal removal.
2. Ensures the safety of the crew and the general public by verifying that proper traffic control procedures are in place.
3. Operates transportation vehicle.
4. Flags traffic.
5. Operation of the Grapple Truck to pick-up large debris
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position.
• Possession of a valid Class B driver's license issued by the State of Georgia within nine (9) months from the date of hire or promotion.
• Possession of GDOT approved traffic flagging certification within nine (9) months from the date of hire or promotion.
