Customer Service Supervisor - Animal Control
This is a full-time position with benefits. This position is responsible for overseeing the adoptions staff, placement processes and works as rescue liaison and alternate animal placements.
Major duties include but are not limited to:
1. Provide excellent customer service while in shelter and in the field.
2. Ensure that staff working in front office and shelter always give excellent customer service.
3. Schedules adoption staff to cover placement, front desk and to assist with animal cleaning and care.
4. Organizes and oversees all files, documents, software input and disposition of animals that leave the shelter through adoption, rescue or reclaim.
5. Networks with animal rescues, humane societies and other organizations to secure safe placement for animals in care.
6. Assist Director is compiling spay neuter needs and secure appointments accordingly. Process paperwork for spay/neuter and vet visits. Making sure all medical paperwork in documented in software.
7. Ensures that front office is welcoming, clean and orderly.
8. Ensures that all donations are processed and put away promptly to keep lobby orderly.
9. Sets and assures proper standards are followed for processing in animals over the counter, including documentation, exam and vaccinations.
10. Ensure that microchip and tag tracing is done properly and in accordance with county and State laws.
11. Develops scripts and talking points for front office staff to make sure cohesive message is being projected to the public.
12. Inventory office and janitorial supplies for front office.
13. Advise Director if an animal coming in over the counter needs immediate medical attention or behavior assessment.
14. Works with kennel supervisor for proper housing for animals taken in over the counter.
15. Ensures daily finance reports and petty cash is correct at the end of each day and deposits are processed and given to Director.
16. Review software to ensure photos, medical status and placement status has been updated and all is correct.
17. Assist Kennel Supervisor and Field Supervisor as needed.
18. On call as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
