7th Annual Run the Ridge

Welcome to the 7th Annual Run the Ridge: Hearts and Heroes Edition – a unique event that combines two beloved community traditions, Run the Ridge and Trails for Troops! Fayette County's premier trail run now merges the thrill of adventure with the spirit of giving, bringing together runners, walkers, and ruckers to support the Southern Conservation Trust and honor our veterans.

This year’s event offers something for everyone: the classic 5K, the newly added 10K challenge, and in celebration of the season, the 5K & 10K Love Run for teams of two. Whether you're here to push your limits or simply enjoy a scenic day on the trail, you’ll find yourself immersed in the natural beauty of The Ridge Nature Area. Enjoy elevation changes and breathtaking views as you make your way through trails where Eastern box turtles, white-tailed deer, and songbirds roam freely.

Love Run (Teams of 2): For any dynamic duo—whether partners, besties, or family—who share a love for racing, the outdoors, and a little friendly competition, the Love Run offer the perfect chance to tackle the trails together! Grab your running soulmate and take on the 5K or 10K, but there’s a twist: both of you must start and finish side-by-side. This run celebrates teamwork, camaraderie, and maybe a little bit of strategy!

How to Register for Love Run: The first participant completes registration and payment. Afterward, they’ll receive a special code allowing their partner to register for free. So grab your trail buddy, lace up, and get ready to conquer the Ridge—together!
