Piedmont Fayette Hospital Nonprofit Award of Excellence (Click here)

Started in 2017, the Nonprofit Award of Excellence recognizes a nonprofit that is making a difference in Fayette County. Applications are required for nominations and a panel of past Chamber chairs select the winner. Sponsored by Panasonic.

 

Small Business of the Year Award (Click here)

The first Small Business of the Year was selected in 1998. It recognizes a small business that has demonstrated exemplary planning, operations, and community involvement. Applications are required for nomination and the winner is selected
by a panel of judges made up of a representative from the Small Business Development Center, Fayette County Development Authority and SCORE.

 

Corporate Citizen of the Year Award (New Award!) (Click here)

Started in 2020, the Corporate Citizen Award is designed to recognize corporate companies that embody an overall spirit of giving through contributions of time, leadership, and resources.

 

Award recipients will be announced at the 2020 Annual Awards Celebration Breakfast on Wednesday, December 9.

Outstanding Business Person of the Year Award

The Outstanding Business Person of the year recognizes a business leader in the community. These successful business leaders must demonstrate unselfish support of the community and exhibit a broad range of involvement in community affairs. 
Past recipients of this prestigious award oversee the selection process. Sponsored by Coweta-Fayette EMC.

 

Carolyn Cary Dreambuilder Award

The Carolyn Cary Dreambuilder award was renamed in 2017 for Chamber founder Carolyn Cary, the first recipient of the Dreambuilder award in 2002. This award is given to an individual or company that has had a significant vision for our community. 
Like Carolyn Cary, recipients have selflessly given of their time and talents to make a difference in Fayette County and their community spirit and dedication is shown both in word and deed. The winner does not have to be a member of the Fayette Chamber. 
The award is selected by the outgoing Board chair. Sponsored by Cooper Lighting Solutions.

 

Chet Wells Award

Established in 1971 as the Chairman’s Award, it was renamed in 1982 for Chet Wells, who gave much time and effort to building and growing the Fayette Chamber. This award is selected by the outgoing Board Chair and is typically given to an individual who
has made significant contributions of time, talent and/or treasure to the Chamber during the Chairman’s tenure. Sponsored by Georgia Power.
