Position Summary
 SMC3 is seeking a high performing candidate for the position of Product Marketing Manager.    
 
SMC3 delivers cloud based SaaS solutions geared to optimize over-the-road freight transportation for manufacturers, retailers, 3PLs and carriers. SMC3 is also an education provider to the supply chain industry hosting conferences, user groups and on-line learning courses.
 
The Product Marketing Manager will have a deep understanding of SMC3 technology products, customer verticals, and competitive landscape. They will be a product evangelist and own the go to market plan for product launches and market communications throughout product life cycles. They will have the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into business benefits and develop product positioning, messaging and content that resonates with customers along each stage of the buying process.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop competitive intelligence framework and research, manage and provide key insights that will guide product requirements/positioning and strategic marketing initiatives. 
  • Lead and develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with targeted buyers by understanding our brand, customer needs, product roadmap, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Create, manage and execute the product marketing strategy and integrated marketing campaigns for new and existing products to optimize reach, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Lead creation of thought-leading product marketing materials and content across digital and print communications such as customer literature, blogs, e-mails, videos, webinars, presentations, web copy, advertisement and trade show/event material. 
  • Assess effectiveness of marketing programs on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Collaborate closely with SMC3 marketing team members, agile teams, sales team and client success team to achieve goals.
 
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or directly related experience required. MBA a plus.
  • 4+ years of product marketing experience preferably in the SaaS environment or supply chain industry.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to turn insights into a clear and convincing product narrative.
  • Strong planning and project management skills, with proven ability to oversee complex projects from origin to execution.
  • Exceptional collaboration abilities across multi-functional teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership, work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Experience in these additional marketing areas is a plus: Lead generation, CRM/ marketing automation tools, email marketing, social media and branding.
  • Position will be a hybrid of onsite (Peachtree City location/suburb of Atlanta) and remote work.
