Small Engine Mechanic

Golf Rider is looking for a skilled mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair small electric and gas vehicles. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines and mechanical systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools and follow all safety precautions. An ideal candidate shall be punctual and reliable to be at work when scheduled. A person willing to work efficiently and safely through the day with a “do it right the first time” attitude in a fast-paced environment where there is always something to do. The candidate will interact patiently and respectfully with other team members within the company as well as customers and vendors when necessary. The candidate shall always work within the company’s core values, mission, purpose and standard procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Build and assemble components according to requirements

- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues

- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability

- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner

- Perform thorough maintenance on small vehicles

- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to vehicle users

- Keep logs of work and report on issues

- Other tasks as requested

Requirements
- Must have your own relevant tools
- Must be available Monday-Saturday from 8:30-5 with work on some Saturdays
- Proven experience as Mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
- Aptitude in using basic hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, schematics etc.
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Very good communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Strength and stamina to lift and move 70 pounds regularly
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
- Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a plus
