2023 NonProfit Council - February
You asked; we listened! The Fayette Chamber of Commerce NonProfit Council will hold its first quarterly meeting of 2023 on February 1, 2023, at The Chamber Meeting Place in Fayetteville. We are excited to have guest speaker, Amanda Bisgaard, speak about volunteer management strategies that maximize outside talent to fit organizational needs.
Amanda Bisgaard is the Director of Volunteer Strategy and Engagement at Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) where she strategizes on national employee engagement with corporate partners. Prior to BGCA Amanda worked at Hands On Atlanta (HOA) where she led a volunteer management consultation team, managed the HOA food insecurity programs, redesigned and implemented the AmeriCorps recruitment process, and implemented a volunteer-led early language and literacy initiative. Amanda previously worked at American Red Cross of TN where she led volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts for local and national disaster relief. Amanda is an AmeriCorps alumni, an instructor at Georgia Center for Nonprofits, past board chair of Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Atlanta, and LEAD Atlanta alumni. In her free time, Amanda enjoys paddle boarding, walking her dog Phoebe on the beltline, reading, and traveling.
